Personal Statement

I love volleyball!!! I was practically raised in a gym due to my mom coaching at all levels. My first 2 years of my high school career, I was an outside and ds, playing the full 6 rotations at Williamsville High School in Illinois.  As you may have noticed, I now live in West Virginia due to my dads job. This past season, I had to try out for a new school. At the very first practice, my entire team had been asked if anyone could jump in and be a setter during a drill.  Of course I volunteered, and next thing I knew I was being asked to be a setter.  Even though I was nervous, I knew it would be the best thing for the team. I played the full 6 rotations, being the starting setter and playing right side when in the front row. Over this past season I earned 2nd team all conference, and all-state special honorable mention. I don't think that I would've been able to accomplish all that I had if it wasn't for my parents. I will forever be grateful for all of the opportunities that I have been given.

I have a very strong work ethic on and off the court. Some things that I can bring to those who around me are kindness, In push people to better themselves, care about others, and hold people accountable.  Things that I can bring to the court are hustle, energy, competition, and I go hard 100% of the time no matter what the drill is, game, or practice.  My work ethic can be shown by my GPA, and how I perform on the court.

While I pursue a college degree, I would like to further my athletic career. Academics are the most important thing to me other than my family., and if I can gain more knowledge and play at the next level I would love to do so.
