Volleyball has been my passion since I was five years old and has been instrumental in teaching me a great deal and helping me to become the individual I am today. My learning from playing volleyball have included the importance of: maintaining a positive attitude, even when down or the challenges are high or facing adversity; being a leader on and off the court results in a positive contribution to a successful team; and hard work and commitment produce results. I have been fortunate to play club and also my high school volleyball for an incredible coach who pushes me as an athlete, a teammate, a student and most importantly as a person. He has been a major influence on me in many ways, driving me to continually improve and to set, work toward and achieve my goals.
In addition to my passion for volleyball, I am highly focused on academics and pursuing my goal of becoming a physician and helping others. I hope to be able to continue to play volleyball at the collegiate level for a school and coach that will continue to value me as an individual, further develop me as an athlete and support me in achieving my academic goals. I love being part of a high performing team and hope to find a college, team and coaching staff that allow me to continue to play the sport I love with people I care about, and who continually challenge me to improve.
