My name is McKenna Diermeier. I am a two sport athlete, and I'm playing club volleyball this season for Eau Claire Air 16-1s out of Eau Claire, WI. I attend Elk Mound High School and am in 10th grade.
I am beginning to explore my college options and it is my goal to play college volleyball. I would like to find a school with a strong Pre-Med or Biology major, so I can begin my college education working towards becoming an orthodontist. Therefore, I want to introduce myself and give you some information about my athletic and academic backgrounds.
I take my academics very seriously. I have lofty expectations for myself in the classroom. Throughout my two years of high school, I have never achieved less than a 98% final grade in any subject. I have worked hard for a 4.0 unweighted GPA. Academics always come first, then athletics.
My athletic calendar is always full. This will be my fifth year of playing club volleyball. I have played three years of 14U club, and I will play two years of 16U. For two years, I played for Elk Mound Volleyball Club, which has dissolved, so now I am playing for Eau Claire Air for the third year. This opportunity has allowed me to play against some higher level teams, which is very exciting! I’ve played travel basketball as well, both for my school and Wisconsin Playmakers. Lastly, I have played travel softball for the last seven years. In these years, my team has achieved 3rd place in the gold bracket at the NAFA National Tournament, twice. I have played for the Seymour Flames for the past seven years.
I enjoy being involved in sports performance training as well. I attend ETS Elite Performance three times per week, where I am on an individualized program that allows me to become quicker, faster, stronger, jump higher, jump properly, and prevent injuries. It is one of my favorite places to be!
Please take a moment to check out my profile, and feel free to contact both my club coaches and my high school coach.
I hope you will have the opportunity to watch our team play this season. I believe I have the ability to be a part of your team and contribute to its future success.
Thank you for your consideration.
