My name is Kiara, and I am a junior attending Nekoosa High School. I have been playing volleyball since 7th grade and I absolutely love playing this sport. Since I started playing volleyball, my dream has always been to continue playing after high school at the collegiate level. One thing I’ve really learned through out playing volleyball is the ability to fix my mistakes and learn from them instead of dwelling on them. On the court, I would miss a pass and then I would think about what I did wrong and know what to fix for the next play. Its a great habit for not just on the court but in life. Even though i am 5”4, I am a very versatile player. For my high school volleyball team, I have been an outside hitter. My first year trying out for club in the 2020-2021 club season, I was able to make the top team for One wisconsin- Stevens Point 16 momentum as a Rightside Hitter. There would be times were I would also have to step in to be a middle hitter as well. I love learning new things daily from coaches, athletes, and even myself to help grow, improve my skills, and mindset in the game.
