My name is Amelia Dettmering. I am a senior at Prentice High School and have been playing volleyball for 11 years. I played on JV my freshman and sophomore years and then varsity my sophomore, junior, and senior year. I've been a varsity starter for 2 years. I started playing club volleyball on the Medford Storm team my sophomore year of high school and still play on it to this day. I've played all over the court as a pinch server, defensive specialist, opposite, and primarily an outside hitter. I've always loved volleyball, so much so that no matter what trials I faced I've always stuck with it. I have an aggressive swing, quick reflexes, and appreciate hearing criticism from both my coaches and teammates. I'm a great listener and have been someone my teammates confide in for as long as I've played. I'm a straight A, 4.0 student that loves to be challenged and is dedicated to both academics and volleyball. I hope to take my skill and love for volleyball to the collegiate level wherever that may be.
