With growing up and playing sports, I've learned that they teach you more than most situations in life. They teach you how to self advocate, how to work with people you might not associate yourself with off the court, and it teaches you accountability, not only for yourself but for the other athletes and coaches on your team. I want to earn my bachelors degree in criminal justice and become a detective. I love analyzing situations and figuring out the whole truth to events that have changed peoples lives. I've been in sports for as long as I remember and I wasn't always the greatest on the court and I'm still not. I believe that it isn't the skill that makes an athlete an athlete, but rather their mentality.
