Having been raised in a large family and being the third child has been one of the things that has shaped me as a person. I have always looked up to my older sisters and strived to be just like them, and at the same time I want to be a good role model for my younger sister. I work hard to have good grades in all honors courses, to be a good person, and to try hard in the sports I have participated in. My sisters are one of the main reasons I decided to start playing volleyball in the third grade and immediately enjoyed playing this sport. Throughout the many years of playing volleyball it has become my stress reliever and my go to whenever I need to get my mind off of things. When I play I just forget everything that is going on in life and focus on the game because in the end that's what makes me truly happy.
It has always been a goal of mine to play at the next level. Ideally, I would like to be at a school with not only an outstanding academic reputation, but also one with a highly competitive athletic program as well. At this point I have an interest in physical therapy as a career choice. Athletically, I would like to make an immediate impact on the court. Throughout my volleyball career I have had the opportunity to play every position. I feel this is one of the reasons I have had success as an effective setter by gaining the knowledge of the court. As a teammate I am supportive and try to bring positive energy to the game.
