I am a hard worker and always give everything my best. I am energetic, tenacious, a team player, and strong. I appreciate the opportunities that I get and I always make the most of them. I love the team aspect of water polo and I believe in playing for the team over yourself. I am a strong student who likes to challenge myself which translates in and out of the pool. I want to go into the medical field so I can help people.
I have played 2 or more sports my entire life and that has taught me how to manage my time well. With two-three practices a day I don't have much free time so I am good at balancing sports and academics.
My freshman year I injured myself in a practice and had to take the season off. The injury made me stronger in the game mentally and physically. I have worked extremely hard to catch up to my teammates. This injury set me back initially, but now I am stronger than ever and back to full strength. The forced time off made me realize my love for the sport and that I want to continue to play in college. During this time I also learned to appreciate the fundamentals and obtain more information on the game. I think there is always more to learn about everything and room for improvement.
I have two brothers and have had to compete with them physically and mentally. Sometimes the mental game is stronger than the physical. I have a big water polo IQ and it only continues to grow. My goal is to play at the collegiate level and contribute to a team in any way that I can.
