I started playing water polo in sixth grade on a beginners team. I played there for two years before moving on to a club team. I fell in love with the game. I enjoy the intensity of the games and practices, as well as the intricacies of the plays and drills. I have taken the time to learn the flow of the game and am well versed in reading plays and thinking two steps ahead. On my high school team, I control the game and create opportunities for my teammates. I assist frequently and play for the team, but I am capable of holding my own and creating opportunities for myself as well.
I want to play in college because I love the sport. I am used to a team setting and I think being on a team would make the high school to college transition easier. I want a college that has my majors and caters to my strengths as well as broadens my horizons. I also want a college that I can be proud of attending and show my love for it in the pool. I hope to bring my strengths to a water polo program where I am a valued member of the roster.
In college I want to pursue screenwriting and filmmaking. My dream is to work for a large entertainment company, such as Disney Studios. I enjoy writing and directing film productions and I hope to someday have one of my films on the big screen.
