My name is Sarah Potter and one of my passions is playing water polo. I currently play for 680 Drivers and will be going into my senior year of high school. I first started water polo in the beginning of 8th grade because one of my friends recommended it to me. I was always a good swimmer, but I loved playing other non-water sports that included some kind of strategy. I immediately fell in love with the sport and worked hard to quickly bring myself to others that had been playing for years, jumping from the C to the A team within 6 months then playing on my high school varsity team starting in my freshman year.
One of my strengths that I bring to the team is my speed in the water. I am typically the sprinter for high school and my club team. I am also very good at reading steals and countering ahead of the other team. Another strength is that I like to always be challenged and continue to learn. Outside of school and water polo I stay busy with the swim team, volunteering at the animal shelter, working towards my Girl Scout gold award, and giving private swim lessons. However the main goal I have right now is to become a working part of a college water polo team.
