Keri Glad '24 Recruiting Profile

During grade school, I often found myself in the goal because I was the only one on my team that could throw the ball the length of the pool.  I received my first real goalie training in Tony Azevedo’s backyard pool during COVID.  After the first six months at the 6-8 Water Polo Academy, being a goalie became a true passion.

In 2022, I was the starting goalie for the USA Cadet National Team at the the Cadet World Championships in Greece and in 2023 I will be the starting goalie for the USA Youth National Team at the Pan American Games in Bauru Brazil.

Academically, I am going to attend ICL Virtual Academy for my junior and senior years so that I can continue to train with 6-8 Water Polo Academy in the mornings and SoCal in the evenings year round.  I am planning to play water polo for Bogliasco in Italy in the winter of my senior year during the CIF girl’s season. 

While not in the pool, I enjoy rock climbing and photography.  I am interested in pursuing a degree in Occupational Therapy so that I can work with disabled children and help them develop the skills necessary to function as independently as possible.  I also have an interest in real estate and look forward to developing the necessary business skills that will allow me to participate in the real estate market as a profession or hobby.

Between 6-8 and SoCal Club practices, I coach 6-10 year olds at 908 Water Polo in Long Beach, CA.
