As I am entering my senior year of high school, it has become important to me to find a competitive water polo program that values team. I am looking for a program that I can contribute to, but also be challenged by its players and coaching staff to improve my game. I believe the combination of hard work, motivation, and my desire to constantly improve will not only allow me to reach these goals but also make me a great candidate for any team. I am different from other recruits in character because I am a very coachable athlete, and when receiving feedback, I do not take things personally but instead use the feedback to better my skills. I am a team player who works hard to reach my personal goals while at the same time working towards achieving the goals of my teammates.
In the pool, I often have the advantage against my opponents because I am a very long-limbed and tall player who knows the game inside and out. My length and high water polo IQ have helped me to become a quick, smart defensive and offensive threat. Outside of the pool, I am an honor roll student who has learned to successfully balance a rigorous prep school schedule with the demands of two varsity sports. Knowing how to balance academics and sports will serve me well: my time management skills will ensure a smooth transition from high school to college. I look forward to the opportunities that lie ahead!
