2017 HighlightsPersonal Statement
Sports have been a constant part of my life since a very young age. I was fortunate enough to have my father coach and influence me in my decision to play as well as teach me the values in sports. Exploring new sports lead me to water polo tryouts freshman year. From dipping my toe in the water to now, I have really honed my skills during the past three years of playing. I am lucky to have great coaches who give me guidance and advice to help me continue to improve and push my limits. I hope by continuing water polo in college that I will find a coach that inspires me to do better and work hard and a team that I can contribute to.
Prior to freshman year I had no water polo experience but through coaching and practicing I developed my goalie skills and was selected MVP for JV, as well as a team captain. On varsity, I was captain, got experience playing in the CCS semi-finals (sectional championships) and being granted the achievement of first team all-league. I am looking for a college that will be a good fit for me athletically and academically. Being a tri-sport athlete, I have developed leadership, strong work-ethic, and drive. In school and sports I must apply time-management, focus, and commitment.
