My first experience playing water polo was when I was seven on an all-boys team. I'll never forget the first day-even though the swim sets were grueling, my coach and my teammates helped me every step of the way. Since then, I began to love water polo and worked to be as good as my teammates. Water polo gives me drive to be better, accomplish my goals, and to have confidence in myself. But my favorite part of water polo is the friends I make along the way. I strive to be the best player I can while also helping my teammates, just as my first teammates did for me.
Being a student-athlete, all sports rely on academics, so I work hard to keep my grades up and manage my time effectively. This summer I took two extracurricular classes to explore my interests for college. I also work at a garden and gift store in my free time and I hope to create an Environmental Club in the fall.
I hope to continue playing water polo competitively in college while also furthering my academics and studies.
