I am a LEFT-HANDED attacker and versatile utility player. I may not be the tallest player, but I am strong and agressive, with endurance.
Growing up, I was very active on a downhill ski team, as a figure skater, and playing soccer in the summer. Most of all I loved the water and swimming. I won the award for top 8U racer on my swim team. But then I discovered water polo.
I’ve been lucky to train with some amazing coaches who played on the Canadian National Team, from the beginning. They inspired me and I moved with them to a new club. We don’t always win, but I have learned so much for the long term. I have trained in California and participated in the Junior Olympics for 2 summers, playing for OC Riptide. I had an amazing experience and look forward to getting back there again this summer.
In my free time, I like art as well as skiing and kayaking. I had a great 3 years at a school for the ARTS. Now I am at a sports school. I finish school at noon and go to the gym every afternoon.
COVID has changed many things for all of us. I haven't been able to play water polo since March 2020, but I am making the best of it--spending last summer at the lake and the rest of the year swimming regularly at the local pool. I have been making the best of the time to improve on academics and SAT study, as well as a lot of dryland training (I workout 5 afternoons a week) and yoga.
Because COVID has affected us all, I have taken the initiative to join a program that prepares baked goods for local homeless shelters.
As the COVID situation is now improving, I am excited to take every opportunity to get back to waterpolo, including summer clinics, Junior Olympics, Team Quebec training, and much more.
I love math and am looking forward to doing a degree in business, as well as looking at MBA options. There are so many great schools and options, but I have decided that I am particularly interested in a small liberal arts school.
