As a child, I first grew to love aquatic sports through my introduction to competitive neighborhood swimming at the age of nine. I continued that passion into high school, and even gave up high school band after four years in order to pursue the sport full-time. In the spring of my freshman year, after the end of the swim season, I was encouraged to go to water polo tryouts.
Since that fateful first experience, water polo has become my passion, and I eagerly look forward to every competitive season with my team. As a left-handed player, I have a unique opportunity to support my team by playing through a different angle and perspective, which gives me pride and joy to see how my advantage benefits the team I love.
In college, I aspire to pursue my goals of both a higher education and a deeper devotion to my Christian faith through every outlet possible, from the classroom to the locker room. Wherever I am, I aim to be a beacon of encouragement to those around me, whether spiritually, academically, or athletically. As a Varsity player and Honor Roll student, I know I have the capabilities to represent your team with determination, steadfastness, good merit, and good sportsmanship both in the pool and in the classroom.
