I was nine when I first played water polo and I remember saying I was not putting that stupid cap on. But as soon as I started playing, I was hooked and never looked back. I am most proud that my coaches say I help my teammates get better, which helps our teams get better. In addition to athletics, I have learned a lot about myself over the past several years through my work as a lifeguard and a babysitter - two jobs that require you to put other's needs above your own. Regarding academics, I plan on majoring in education or psychology. While I am not yet sure exactly what career path I will eventually take, I know that I want to work with people in an attempt to help others and impact our society in a positive way. I look forward to competing at the next level and am confident that I would be an asset to your program, both in and out of the pool.
