Personal Statement

I have been playing water polo since I was 12 years old. At my first practice the coach noticed how high I could tread and placed me as the goalie and I have loved being in the cage. After my first year of playing I knew water polo was the sport for me. I couldn't wait until I could play on the High School team, and when that day finally came being able to play on the varsity team, winning the state championship, and being awarded the MVP State Goalie was the experience of a lifetime.

During this Covid-19 pandemic time I have committed to staying in shape out of the water by going to the gym five day's a weeks. At the gym I work on cardio and weight lifting.

I have strong ball handling skills, can make a accurate long pass, and have a high endurance. I am good communicator and help my team in and out of the water. As an athlete I would say my personality is humble yet hungry, meaning I love to learn about ways I can improve my skills and I strive to be the hardest working player.

At school I work hard to maintain a high GPA while playing for my club team, High school team, volunteering, and holding down a job. So I am used to a very full plate and have learned excellent time management skills.

I would love to attend a college and continue my career as a goalie, while beginning a field of study.
