I began wrestling when I was around 7 or 8 years old. I have placed at Freestyle, Greco, and Folkstyle state as a youth. As a Freshman in high school, I was pretty successful. I amassed a 25-4 record and placed 7th at my regional Grand Masters tournament. I took my sophomore season off to try Cheerleading and made the varsity squad. This year I realized my passion was for wrestling and returned to the sport. I wasn't able to compete until January 17, and went undefeated until the divisional/area finals. I then went on to qualify for state at Grand Masters, suffering only my second loss of the season to the defending state champion. At CIF State Championship I was able to secure a 6th place finish, becoming the first wrestler from my school to ever make the podium at State. I want to continue at the next level and help a program be successful.
