Personal Statement

I am in my third year of wrestling and have learned so much about myself through the sport. I started as a freshman into a team that was full of very experienced athletes and coaches. I learned that the best way to grow and succeed in not only wrestling but also in school and life is to have a growth mindset and even in the darkest times be able to be taught and to learn from mistakes. I have come a long way in terms of coachability and my overall work ethic has improved because of it. I'm not perfect and I’m learning to accept that about myself. However, that doesn’t stop me from continuing to grow and build upon the skills I have. I have held a 4.0 GPA for almost all of my high school career, currently at a 3.97 cumulative GPA. School and having a plan for my future are very important to me and I am willing to work for these things.

NCSA COLLEGE RECRUITING®

NCSA College Recruiting® (NCSA) is the nation’s leading collegiate recruiting source for more than 500,000 student-athletes and 42,000 college coaches. By taking advantage of this extensive network, more than 92 percent of NCSA verified athletes play at the college level. The network is available to high school student-athletes around the country through valued relationships with the NFLPA, FBU, NFCA and SPIRE. Each year, NCSA educates over 4 million athletes and their parents about the recruiting process through resources on its website, presentations of the critically-acclaimed seminar College Recruiting Simplified, and with Athletes Wanted, the book written by NCSA founder Chris Krause.
