I aspire for greatness. Not to be better than everyone else, but to be better than I was the day before. My goal is to be an outstanding high school athlete and student. My senior year goal for wrestling is to qualify for state. I then hope to move wrestling in college and major in business administration Where I can hopefully learn the skills needed to be successful in the business world.
I recently suffered a pretty bad shoulder injury that left Me questioning whether or not my career in wrestling was over. However, after surgery and a long recovery, I can confidently say that through hard work and determination I am able to come back even better than before. The recovery is hard, and not being able to get on the mat is even harder, but when the time comes for me to shine at the in my senior season it will all be worth it!
There have been people in my life that have told me that I couldn't achieve a goal. However there unkind and discouraging words are what fuel my fire. The fire that drives me to to be better than yesterday, the fire that makes me strive for improvemen, the fire that allows me to accomplish anything I put my mind to.
wrestling has taught me respect, resilience, and critical thinking… more than any other activity I have participated in. Without wrestling I don’t know where I would be today. The people I have met along the way have become my family, my friends, and support.
