My name is Vassilisa Tellez but call me Vassi. I was born in Nizhny Novgorod Russia in 2006 so resilience and Russian values were instilled in me by my mother and world-champion kayaker Babushka who passed away from metastic cancer (Covid-19 gravely exacerbated the medical condition she was in.) Me and my mom moved to the Big Apple with my one-year old brother Armando when I was two. After moving to New York to be close to my hispanic family, catholic values and martial arts was a prevalent part of my life. The Mexican values of open-heartedness and an insatiable yearn for adventure created an optimistic attitude in me. Me and my brother attend Edward R. Murrow High-School and have found the close-knit community to be a beautiful experience. Viktor, my youngest brother has the utmost potential to become the next U.S. president and he taught me what a rainbow is in soccer. I am a musician at heart with the love of Astronomy, Ceramics, Painting, Fashion, Cosmetology, Soccer, Singing, Dancing, and Musical theatre. I have always overcame my adversities in song. You will find me in the wrestling room or at any musical theatre show. In university, I would love to pursue research in Astronomy, Nueroscience, and most importantly cancer research. Family and god first.
