Hello, My name is Paul Hernandez. I am a young student athlete attending camelback highschool and I am the youngest Wrestling Captain on campus. In my early life my father wasn’t the best to be around with and my mother worked multiple jobs to support me and my younger sister who is one year apart from me. I grew up striving for success in the classroom and devoted most of my time to the wrestling room as I stand as a role model to those who want the same as any other boy does in the state of Arizona I didn’t choose to be the way I am but I see things how they are. I can observe, interpret, and process information resulting in logical or factual if you may. My history in athletics have impacted my performance in class. Wrestling in particular has taught me discipline as I have grown up with discipline all my life living in such harsh conditions throughout the years has taught me to not only be Humble but mindful of things happening around me. Wrestling has taught me that Life is all a bunch of matches; every day is one match after another, and every match is harder than the last. It all depends on what you do when you step on that line, and what you’re willing to do to mentally prepare yourself for anything that comes your way. If Life shoots its shot, you sprawl and work with what you got from there but you live to wrestle another day. Wrestling showed me how to strengthen my mind and showed me that I can learn something every day in the practice room or in the classroom. I have only been wrestling for two years and I have already dominated my section and earned my spot at state; that same summer I qualified for the team Arizona national team and had the opportunity to wrestle in North Dakota for a tournament called Fargo. Unfortunately, I didn’t go due to My Uncle’s Passing.
