"I believe in work, hard work". Living 45 minutes from Auburn University, I have been raised an Auburn fan. Their motto has rung true throughout my entire wrestling career. I started wrestling when I was in kindergarten. I have tried other sports, but no other sport can compare to the satisfaction that wrestling provides. My very first youth state wrestling tournament, I lost the very first match and had to wrestle back 7 matches to ultimately place 3rd. This was my first introduction into the work and perseverance that wrestling would teach me. 12 years later, I am still working and training to master this craft. I am looking for a program in which I can be an asset to and grow not only as a wrestler, but a teammate and individual as well.
As a three year captain of my wrestling team, one of the biggest things I believe in is unity and brotherhood. No matter what the cost, each wrestler should lift up each other and sacrifice for the benefit of their teammates. I believe I not only have the talent to compete for a college wrestling team, but the character, work ethic and leadership skills to make an impact on your program.
