Personal Statement

I started wrestling when I was nine years old. My football coach encouraged me to stop by a practice, see what it was all about, and try it out. I participated in the first practice and never looked back.

I would be an asset to the team because I feel that I would be a positive role model for the team as well as the college. I am coachable. I am a hard worker on and off the mat. I give 100% in practice, on the mat, and in my studies.

My wrestling goals for the year are to improve my technique and speed on the mat. I want to wrestle as many varsity matches that I can. I want to make it to state as well as place.

My acedemic goals are to get the best grades I can. I am shooting for all A’s but I will be satisfied with any B’s I earn.
