In my three years of wrestling I have discovered a part of myself that I never knew existed. In those three years I have often found myself the most dedicated and determined than I was in any other sport I have played in my life. I believe that Wrestling brings out the best out of me when I need it the most, the drive to win, help my teammates, and be the best wrestler that I know can be.
Throughout my whole football career, I have always been called a protector or a leader. I always look out for people who are close to me. My younger brother who is 15 has autism and I have watched over him, been his voice, and guide since he was born. When I am on the field there never be a thought or action that is not unselfish. I never play for myself but instead for all those who have had an major impact on my life. My father always shares links to videos of the great people who played football but either got injured or lost their opportunity to keep me humble and on focus on my goals in life.
My love and passion for football came from when i was five years old watching Redskins games with my dad, seeing how the players worked with each other to beat the other team in competition while also entertaining the fans in the stadium. Later on in life, I went to go on play youth football and learned that football is not just about scoring and putting on a show for everyone but also stand side by side with your teammates or brothers to beat the opposition. I also learned that football not only requires physical strength but mental strength as well, that’s when I had seen that I needed to have a strong mind to be able to progress both as a player and a person. My academic goal for high school is to get a 4.0 or higher one day before my days in high school are over and for my goal in college, I hope to obtain my masters degree. One of the many unique skills I have is to think and come up with multiple solutions for one problem , and another skill is to be able listen well for advice from different coaches and apply it to the field.
