In my life, I embrace competition. I love to compete. Competition drives me to excel and be the best version of myself. Each day is an opportunity for me to set new goals, overcome challenges, and strive for excellence in both academics and sports. When I was in Elementary School, I wrote down my goals on a piece of paper and taped it above my bed. It still hangs there today. A few of the things I wrote down was how many push ups I was going to do everyday, and a reminder to stretch. This note reminds me that the goals I had then, are still important to me now.
My commitment to success has always been important to me. I believe that this is reflected in my dedication to my academic achievements. My parents taught me that my availability is one of the most important parts if I want to be successful. I take pride in having perfect attendance in school and sports.
Sports, for me, are not just a physical activity but a platform for growth. Whether I am on the mat, field, or in the gym, I compete with passion, discipline, and a relentless push for improvement. Wrestling and football have taught me resilience, teamwork, and the importance of a strong work ethic.
While my competitive nature fuels my individual success, my relationships with my family and friends hold the most importance in my life. Their support, encouragement, and love are the foundation in which I build my aspirations. I recognize that success is not an individual journey, but a collaborative effort. My family, teammates, and coaches push me in all that I do. In my life, competition, academic achievements, my athletic goals, and friendships all inspire me to be the best me that I can be.
As I continue to see where I am next, I carry with me the lessons learned through competition, the drive to reach academic goals, the feeling of pride in my athletic accomplishment, and my friends that I have made along the way.
This is who I am, and the things most important to me. My dream is to find an academic program that challenges me, and to be able to continue grappling as an asset to their wrestling team. I am excited to see the opportunities a college experience has for me.
