Jan Carlos Concepcion '22 Recruiting Profile

Hello, My name is Jan Carlos Concepcion. I am a wrestler. My short term goal currently is to get a scholarship for wrestling or anything really to further my education. I do not know what I want to major in but I do know I don’t want to be in too much debt after college. I think I would be a great asset for the team because I am an Army Swiss knife.  Whatever you need, I can be. I am easy to work with, I have a very outgoing and funny personality but I know when it is time to get serious. Most importantly to me is I am a hard worker on the Mat. Once I step on it, I am a whole other beast. I might not be the best wrestler on the mat but I will be the wrestler giving my best every single second I am on it. There will be hundreds of other wrestlers. There is most definitely better wrestlers than me.  The thing is I have what the best athletes have. A true winning personality. When I lose it hits hard, but I learn from it and will not make that mistake again. Then when I lose again that’s another mistake I won’t do again. If I just simply get beat, I work on all parts of my game so that won’t happen again. I don’t quit, I want to be great and I will. I don’t want to come off as cocky because I really am not but I have the utmost confidence in myself to say I will be great. I am a great leader and simply enjoy people and the sport. I want to continue doing something I love and I hope whoever is reading this takes the chance with me. You won’t regret it. Thank you for your time, have a great day.
