I have played other sports but the moment I first tried out wrestling I knew it was the sport I wanted to focus on. There is no other sport that made me feel the way wrestling does. It is most definitely a tough sport but I enjoy it. I am dedicated and want to get better and continue competing. I am interested in the collegiate level wrestling as I would love to continue having wrestling be a part of my life. I have been physically active my entire life, and health and fitness is very important to me as it has always been a part of my upbringing.
My freshman year I was not able to wrestle due to covid lockdown happening. My Sophomore year I had the opportunity to wrestle but it did not last long, as we were shut down multiple times due to covid restrictions. This year, during my junior year I finally got to wrestle and I can see myself getting better day by day. I know that I have not fully reached my potential but with each day I gain the strength and knowledge that I need. I know the commitment that it takes to be a wrestler and I have made this my goal.
