I have been competing in Martial Arts since I was 4 years old, and have competed on the local, state, national, and international levels, however I only began wrestling in 7th grade. I struggled to find success as a first-year wrestler, losing all but one of my matches in 7th grade. I knew I wanted to be a successful wrestler at higher levels so I became incredibly dedicated to both wrestling and my academics. I have been a 3-year starter on the Varsity team, and have been a leader on my team since 10th grade. Throughout my wrestling career, I have faced many obstacles including a shortened Sophomore season, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, and another shortened season my Junior year due to a fracture in my hand that I obtained during a match. These obstacles have helped teach me perseverance and have given me even more drive to be successful in this sport. When I get to college, I intend to major in Political Science.
