I started wrestling in middle school and I really started to take it seriously going into my sophomore year. I was sick of losing and that is when I joined a few clubs in my local area. I started a mindset that I didn't want to lose anymore and I wanted to be the best I could be. I set a goal for myself to be a New York State Champion and to be a High School All-American since then. As the years have past I never missed club practices and each summer I attend many camps/clinics to continually grow and get better as a wrestler. Each year since my freshman year I have improved greatly and I went from being a mediocre wrestler to competing very well with the best wrestlers in my area. Wrestling has changed my life in so many ways. It has transformed me into the man I am today and has taught me great discipline and showed me what hard work is about. I have such a great passion and love for the sport that I don't want my senior year in high school to be the last year I ever wrestle. I think about my goals every day and I write them down every day. Wrestling at the collegiate level is something that means so much to me and I would be grateful to whoever would accept me because I love this sport so much. I always want to be the best in everything I do and I try to work the hardest out of everyone around me to be the best. My collegiate goals is to be a National Champion. I hate to lose and I only want to be the best. I always try and hang around the right group of people and make the right decisions because I know what is important to me, and being the best in wrestling is far more important to me than my friends. When I get to college I plan to succeed in my academics and wrestling. I don't care about having fun in college, wrestling and academics are more important to me. I want to make a name for myself and be remembered as a hard working person and someone who was successful. I have my whole life to have fun, but I only have a limited time to be successful in wrestling and academics, so I choose to sacrifice my friends for wrestling to have a bright future. Every day I think about wrestling, my goals, and what I have to do to get better. Everyday I am always doing something to get better at what I do such as wrestling at club or high school practice, weight lifting, running, or watching technique videos to improve my skills. I have very well knowledge of the sport with history of it, current wrestlers, and I know a lot of high level technique. What makes me different than other recruits is my mindset and work ethic. I will do whatever it takes and try my hardest to be the best I can be so I can be at the top of the podium. With the right coaches and support for me I believe I can be very successful because of how hard I work. Over the years I learned mind set is very important. Most wrestlers don't set high goals for themselves and settle for less they can be. Why not want to be the best? Why settle? I've learned to have a mind set to pull the trigger and take chances, set high goals, and be aggressive. Academics wise I do fairly alright, I do not get perfect grades, but I do admit sometimes I do not try the best of my ability to get what my full potential can receive. I realize academics are very important and I have one more year left, and I plan on trying to the best of my ability to prove and reach the grades my potential can receive. I plan on being very successful my senior year because I know I have been working very hard in the offseason and I have one more shot to acheive my goal as a State Champion and High School All-American along with having very well grades. This is just a little about me and I would highly appreciate if anyone contacted me to learn more about me! Thank you.
