At first I started wrestling in 7th grade to stay in shape during the football offseason. Then my senior year I changed schools and the change of environment led to finding a love for wrestling I had never experienced before this year. I’ve been able to overcome my parents getting divorced, learning to live in two different households 4 hours apart from each other, multiple learning disabilities, getting Mono for 10 weeks, the flu twice for 2 weeks each time, COVID and losing my grandfather all during my 4 years of high school. I believe that when you push people past their limits for whatever they need to get finished, the impossible becomes possible.
My goals are to find a college environment that will work with my multiple learning disabilities to achieve and maintain a 3.0 GPA, while earning a Bachelors and earn a full ride scholarship. I would like to continue being a summer camp counselor at my Christian camp helping the less fortunate in finding Christ and learning about God. Finding a wrestling team that thrives on team players and will see that if I’m given a chance I’ll always figure it out. My senior year I was named most outstanding wrestler, had a 35-12 record and was team captain.
Wrestling has taught me that until that clock hits zero you always have time to do what you gotta do.
