Martial arts has been a part of my life from a very young age, beginning with Jiu-Jitsu, followed by Kickboxing. I found that I was really talented in martial arts and worked hard to develop my skills, making team USA the summer before my freshman year and competing in the Junior World Tournament in Brazil. When I started wrestling, I was not very good, but I fell in love with it. I just love the grind and the clashing of wills between you and your opponent. It is not every time that the strongest and top guy is going to stand in first place; the most determined and dedicated wrestler can reach the top of the podium with skill, grit, and heart. I am confident that any college that would give me an opportunity to represent them would not regret it. I am a hard worker and I would successfully lead my team, because as much as wrestling is a team sport with a strong sense of brotherhood, it is also a very individual journey. Sometimes to reach your goals, you need that one guy, a dependable teammate, to push you, but it also has to come from within. I am also that guy to push and encourage my fellow teammates. My academic goals are to bring my GPA to a 4.0 and stay focused in class. I believe in giving I00% both on and off the mat.
