In kindergarten, I raised my hand in class and claimed that I was not being challenged enough. The teacher had me test to see where my skills were set, and I tested to a 2nd grade level. The school advanced me 2 grades, so I was 5 years old in 2nd grade. Going into high school, especially at 12 years old, the last thing I would have expected to do was to wrestle. But my freshman year, my coach had me attend my first wrestling practice. From there on, I fell in love with the grind that wrestling brought to the table. I started practicing daily and lifting whenever I got the chance. I saved up money to buy a wrestling mat to put in my room, and from then on I have hammered out repetition after repetition in my room whenever I could. I started to eat right in hopes of becoming the strongest pound-for-pound wrestler. Now I am 14 and a junior, taking college level and AP classes. I have practice balancing a job, school, and wrestling.
This sport has become a lifestyle for me. I made this account with NCSA in hopes of furthering my academic and athletic career. Although I will only be 16 years old my freshman year of college, I am confident that I can take on both wrestling and the stress of college. I'm always the hardest worker in the room, and I am continuously evolving into a better version of myself.
