Throughout my life, I have experienced a number of failures and successes both academically and athletically. The culmination of these tests and trials is a realization of what is required for me to perform optimally and improve. I must submit myself and my desires, enduring discomforts, over the long term, being consistent, focused, and disciplined with my time. Even if I must humble myself in a moment to truly get better later, I will.
The result of actions taken with these principles in mind is that I have achieved a 4.0 GPA, even while taking classes that I genuinely struggled with. This wouldn't be the case if when I didn't understand concepts, I sought out ways to understand them, even going beyond what my school offered and studying online. I have also gained a great deal of bodily mobility, utilizing yoga and stretching, because I made time consistently to give my body stimuli that would force my muscle fascia to become more flexible.
The same concepts that have worked for me thus shall be used for the rest of my life, and no doubt when I wrestle in college.
