I've only been wrestling competitively for 2 years. I qualified for regional's both years. As a freshman, my high school didn't have a wrestling team. I had some grappling experience and wrestling was a sport that I was eager to try it. With the help of my Geometry teacher and my father, we started an after school club wrestling program. The following year the program became eligible for UIL and a team was officially formed. My sophomore year, I was the only student from my school to qualify for regional's. My junior year I placed second at districts and again made it to regional's. I recently joined a club team to prepare me for my senior year of high school wrestling.
I believe I have been successful in this sport due to my work ethic and my drive to constantly improve. I would be an asset to your team because of my passion for the sport and leadership ability. My goal is to find a college that will allow me to excel academically and allow me to further improve and compete in the sport of wrestling.
