I'm Anthony Wolf and I am a Sophomore at Kettle Moraine Lutheran High School. I started on the Varsity team my Freshman year, wrestling mostly at the 113 spot. I was asked, and was willing, to wrestle up to the 120 spot as needed to help my team and to fill a spot to avoid forfeit. Overall, I ended my season with a 18-11 record and took 3rd at the conference tournament. Looking ahead to next season, my goal is to become my school's first state qualifier. I know that in order to achieve my goal, I have to be successful in academics also. This is why I work hard and study; I ended my Freshman year with a 3.36 cumulative GPA, earning honor roll three out of four quarters of the year.
Recently, I have decided to solely focus on wrestling, forgoing other sports. This allows me to practice more during the off-season by attending Askren Wrestling Academy (AWA). I am currently practicing five to six days a week. On top of that, during the summer I participate in a strength and speed camp and three week-long wrestling camps.
My future goal is to wrestle in college. I would make a good candidate because I'm a hard worker and dedicated to the sport. I take any loses I may have, and I use it as a learning experience. I watch film of my matches, discuss with my coaches, and practice to make corrections. I do all of this so that I can become the best wrestler I can be.
