Wrestling has been a way of life since stepping on the wrestling mat in 5th grade. I look forward to wrestling in college and beyond and ultimately giving back the sport by becoming a coach after I am done competing competitively.
I have had a very good freshman and sophomore year, posting a winning record each year. My freshman year, I placed third in the North Shore Conference, qualified for sectionals and fell short of my goal of qualifying for state. I placed third at the WI Freestyle State Tournament and was a member of Team Wisconsin for Fargo.
As a sophomore, I was named a team captain and helped lead my team to team state, as well as, earning the North Shore Conference Title at 195lbs, being crowned a regional champion, and being one of six wrestlers to be an individual state tournament qualifier. While I have had success on the mat, I'm not satisfied and am working hard to make sure that I achieve my goals of being a state champion and All-American my junior and senior years.
Academically, I work just as hard in the classroom as I do on the wrestling mat. I have been on the High Honor Roll each semester, and was named to the 2020 Wisconsin Wrestling Academic All-State Honor List.
Outside of wrestling, I am waiting for my Eagle Scout Board of Review and continue to be actively involved in 4H since kindergarten.
