Wrestling has always been a part of my life. I can even remember wrestling with my brother when I was just able to walk, and we continued to throw each other around every time we are together. I officially started wrestling around the age of 6 years old after a teacher encouraged me to go to a mini-camp put on by one of the high schools. For me, wrestling has been more than a sport, it has helped me build a new family that motivates me to be better. Wrestling has taught me more than how to wrestle, it instilled a strong work ethic, sense of humbleness, and ability to overcome setbacks.
I have improved immensely over the past few years and would like to continue to wrestle at the next level in college. My goals for this year, my Junior year are to get a GPA above 3.5, take 1st in my weight class at State and stay healthy. I would also like to do well on my assessment tests - ACT with a 29 or above and SAT 1350 or better. My goals also reach a personal level by trying to be a better brother and person to my family - biological and wrestling.
