Luke Bass '20 Recruiting Profile

Hello Coach,

My name is Luke Bass and I am a senior at Chandler High School in Chandler, AZ.  I work hard, in both my academics and in baseball, in order to attend college. 

When I was three years old, my Dad and my Grandfather took me to my very first professional baseball game to see the Arizona Diamondbacks. It was there that I got my first bat and ball, the soft padded type.  According to my family, I never put that bat down, and they were always pitching to me in our family room area. I fell in love with the game, and it's still a huge part of me. I train hard, respect my teammates and coaches, and strive to better myself every day.

I carry a weighted 4.8 GPA.  I'm in the Top 5% of my class and was inducted into the National Honor Society.  I was awarded the Principal's Academic Honors Award, and the Outstanding Academic Achievement Award by the World Language Department.  I received a varsity letter for baseball, and an academic letter for completing my personal project for the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Program.  I am very proud of these accomplishments.  I’m currently taking six IB classes.

Along with academics, learning to lead on the field and in the classroom is one of the top priorities that I focus on. I attempt to make every one of my teammates, or peers, better, and I try to serve as a role model in order to inspire others to work as hard as they can.
