Ky McGary '24 Recruiting Profile

Growing up with a dad that was one of the coaches of a competitive DII program helped shape the type of an athlete I wanted to be.  My dad saw firsthand some of the key traits that made some players more successful and a little more valuable than others.  He taught me to be a player that learned from his mistakes, not be afraid to fail, and be a team player.  It drove me to be a true 5-tool utility player that can field, throw, run, and hit that has that “X” factor. What you can’t see from my profile is that I pride myself on being a player that you can play anywhere, a leader in the dugout and one of those sparks that can change the momentum of a game.

I am equally dedicated in the classroom trying to get better every day and pride myself on being a player coaches don’t have to worry about grades on grade check day.  I am excited for the opportunity to meet you and to be one of your next players that continues to help build your foundation.
