My goal is to obtain a scholarship to continue to play basketball while working toward an undergraduate degree. I am looking for a school that can help me achieve success on and off the court. I know I still have a lot to learn and I want to play for a coach that will help push me beyond my comfort zone. In addition, I want to play for a program that feels like family. Basketball is way more than just a game and it is important to feel supported in all aspects of life, especially when you spend so much time with each other.
I am an experienced point guard and can control the offense in addition to scoring. I have a high basketball IQ, functioning in any type of offense. I am used to an aggressive defensive game with relentless pressing and fast break opportunities. I work well with my teammates and am a leader on and off the court. I am a hard worker. I believe how you practice is how you play so I try to bring a 100% every time I am on the court. In addition, I believe I am very coachable. I try to listen and execute my coach’s game plan but am also willing to speak up when needed. My coach’s trust me on the court and listen when I have suggestions. My ability to get along well with others, listen to everyone’s perspective, and value everyone’s role on the team have made me very successful in my basketball career. I believe I would be an excellent addition to any team.
