As a swimmer who has been on a competitive team since the age of six, I am incredibly passionate about the sport. Swimming allows me to get away from life outside the pool and focus on something I love to do. This enthusiasm for the sport is what I want to continue to have in my college years.
Equally important to me is the friendships and never-ending support I have acquired through swimming. I have been able to make strong bonds within this sport that I know will last for years to come. I have many times stood behind the starting blocks, cheering for my teammates until my voice was sore. This is the kind of dedication and support I plan to bring to my future college team as well.
Outside of swimming, some of my interests include playing the violin, studying science, and solving Rubik's cubes. I balance my hobbies with my heavy academic schedule that includes many AP classes. Even so, I try to find time to settle in and watch a movie with my family at the end of long days. They have been my number one supporters and motivators since the very start of my journey.
