Personal Statement

My name is Ivan Torres and my goal like any other student athlete is to play at the next level. I bring good energy to any team that I am apart of. I always pick up my teammates when something doesn't go their way. I strive to compete with the best and be the best. I am different from other student athletes because I use my academic abilities on the field. I give myself scenarios to work with and see how they will play out in my head. In addition, my athleticism is one of my strong points on the field. I move quickly and never give up on a play. I will never hang my head low if I make a mistake or if something happens on the field. I always keep my head high and look forward to making a play the next opportunity I get.

Started in every game at shortstop. I either batted 2nd or 3rd in the lineup every game. We played some high quality teams and throughout the tournament I made no errors. Plus my team and I had tons of fun going out and competing every day striving to improve. I was on GBG San Diego.
