My name is Alexis Aguilera and I would like to thank you for letting me tell you about myself.
As a junior at Eastlake High School in Chula Vista, Calif., I have been playing golf seriously since my freshman year.
First, I want you to know that I’m an extremely hard worker. I’m passionate about my school, golf and continuing to improve as a student. My education is very important to me so I always try to focus, pay attention and try to get my assignments done right.
I also would like you to know that I am very coachable. I feel that I am a very moldable player. I’m always willing to listen since I know that the coaches always have my best interest in mind. That’s part of the reason I’m so passionate about golf. Although there is a team aspect, golf is a sport where I can rely on myself and my performance – it all depends on me. I think one of the best parts of the sport is that it’s fun yet challenging to keep working at. No matter how good I think I am, I can always become a better player.
Finally, I’d like you to know about my competitive side. On the outside I often appear passive and quiet, but inside I am very competitive. At times you may not able able to see it, but I want to know, I always push myself to be the best golfer I can be because I truly love the game.
Thank you!
