My name is Christian Ayers, 6'1, 215 lbs. My future goals are to pursue a degree in computer science or a health/science related field. I would also love to play collegiate baseball for an organization that pushes me as an individual, but who also values the development of the team as a brotherhood.
I was a three sport athlete until I broke my collarbone playing football my freshman year. After Covid disrupted my sophomore year, I chose to focus my attention on playing football and baseball only. I have a love for both of these sports, and I want to take it to the next level playing baseball. I have volunteered with my football team and supported our local community many times over the years. I feel that these experiences were important in the development and connection we had as a team, and I valued them greatly.
I have been playing sports for as long as I can remember and it is a huge part of my life. Everyone in my family - mom, dad, and older brother - played collegiately, and I see myself following in their footsteps. My mom coached varsity volleyball and my father coached baseball for many years. Their example showed me the value of hard work, teamwork, composure, perseverance, and giving less than your best was a waste of time. My dad was instrumental in my development as a baseball player and a competitor. I learned that dedication is the number one thing to baseball; you have to put the work in and out of season. I came to understand the time, energy and effort that is needed to perfect the skills in baseball.
