I have dreamed of going to college since I was very little. I am the oldest in my immediate family, but I have three step-siblings from my dad's other families. I, however, would be the first of the kids to attend college, so it's very important to me to set the tone for my biological sister and brother. I live with my mom, and she went to a small college, played basketball and is now a teacher. I have watched her work hard and make sacrifices for us, so I know that if I graduated from college and had the opportunity to play baseball, she and I would be extremely proud. I am unsure at this time what I want to study in college, but I know that I will make that decision soon and work hard.
I am a quiet person who leads through his actions and work ethic. I will help my future team with my ability, positive attitude and encouragement. My coaches would describe me as hardworking, quiet and strong. My parents would describe me as caring, dedicated, strong, willing, kind and respectful.
At this time, I am looking for a school on the east coast but am open to other options if the feel is right.
Thank you for your time and interest,
Jackson Conkey
