Christopher Turner '21 Recruiting Profile

The vision and plan I have for my life involves baseball, business and politics. My collegiate goal is to play baseball and receive a duel major in business and pre-law (or political science) within four years. I believe this will be possible because I am duel enrolled in high school and upon graduation will receive an associates of arts degree. My main focus is baseball; my dream is to play college ball and go on to play in the MLB. 

Beyond my pitching skills, I believe I can benefit my team in the following ways:

LEADERSHIP- I am more of a leader by example rather than being vocal.

QUICK LEARNER- I do not get overwhelmed. In my youth I have traveled all over the world and have been placed in many new situations.

EMOTIONALLY STABLE- Whether on the mound with bases loaded or facing difficult circumstances I don’t get too high when things are great or too low when things don’t go my way. Internally, I am a fiery competitor, yet balanced by self-control.

TEAM- In a world where many people are out for themselves and care about their own stats, I believe in helping and serving others. The expression I’ve been taught to live by is that you don’t raise a boat, you raise the tide and all the boats will rise.

STRONG FAMILY VALUES- My focus is on baseball and academics. I do not drink, smoke or do drugs. I am not on social media. I live life in the real world impacting people for good. I am responsible, independent and self-motivated.
