Playing baseball is my passion and I think I offer a unique profile as a college baseball prospect.
-First, I aim to be a student - athlete and my attendance at the #5 ranked high school in Illinois (US News 2019), plus my test scores, show my academic competence.
-I have only come to pitching in the past couple of years and therefore I don’t have a high usage on my arm. Also, up until high school, I hadn’t received much coaching on my pitching. With one season at Jones behind me, I am now preparing for senior year and looking forward to working with my coaches to continue to develop as we compete for the Chicago Public League championship.
-My physical strength is just now being tapped into. I have gained considerable strength, size and velocity in the past year and will continue that upward trend. I expect to grow nearer to the 6’5 and 220 pounds of my father. Right now, my pitching strength is movement and deception, and increasing velocity will add another level to my performance.
-There are measurables that are listed but my drive, focus, competitiveness and heart cannot be measured in a showcase. To these I add my passion for baseball and that I love to watch, listen to and read about baseball to better learn the game and how I can improve. In the end, these are the qualities that will set me apart both on the field and in my everyday life.
