My collegiate goals are to excel academically in my undergraduate studies with a business-focused major in economics, marketing, or management. I am also interested in incorporating design and innovation with my major in the fields of architecture or interior design. I have long aspired to represent the United States as an Olympic athlete, and working hard in the water on a Division 1 level swim team will help me accomplish this goal.
I am ambitious and extremely competitive in the water. I like to win. I am always willing to learn from my mistakes and accept failures as opportunities to do better. I am a team player and enjoy interacting and accomplishing results with my team members. I lead by example and enjoy mentoring and coaching other athletes.
I realize that other recruits may want to be on the team with as much enthusiasm as I. However, what is distinctive about me is my grit and unwavering work ethic. I have overcome my learning challenges with determined effort and worked hard to balance both my academics and swimming commitments as a student-athlete. I have experienced a failure during my sophomore year and was able to push through and continue striving for excellence. I am a stronger person as a result of both in and out of the water.
